If you’re like most Christians, you probably value your church community. It’s a fantastic location to connect with other believers, grow in your faith, and serve others. But what happens when you move to a new town and have to start making friends at a new church? Christians are called to love their neighbor, so making friends in a new church should be natural, right? Here are some ideas to help you in making friends in a new church.
These are great places to get to know other people in a similar stage of life. You’ll be able to learn and grow together — and form lasting friendships.
When you serve alongside others, you have the opportunity to get to know them well. You’ll be able to bond over a shared passion for serving the Lord.
There are many opportunities to socialize with other church members, from potlucks to picnics. Attending church events are great ways to get to know people in a relaxed setting.
One of the best ways to make friends is simply by being friendly. Smile and say hello to people you see at church. Invite someone new to lunch after the service. You never know — you might just make a new friend.
You are part of a church family, so don’t be afraid to reach out and get to know other members. You’ll soon feel right at home by getting involved and building relationships.
