Online Bible Study Resources to Assist You During Meditation

The Bible is God’s Word, but it can be confusing to read some of the passages and interpret their meanings. Thankfully, there are plenty of bible study resources available online. By taking advantage of these easily-accessible resources, you can enrich your understanding of His guidance and feel confident in your path forward. We suggest these are good tools to add to your daily meditation practices as you Meditate on God’s Word. Here are three online bible study resources to get you started.

1. BibleGateway.com

Bible Gateway offers over 60 English versions of the Bible, with additional versions in over 70 languages and dialects. It also allows you to search for keywords and topics or scan through a list of the books and verses. While reading through a passage, you can access related study Bibles, encyclopedias, commentaries, maps, videos, and dictionaries.

The site also features a section on scripture engagement. This features helpful practices for bible study and tips for performing them, such as journaling, visual art, hand-copying, singing, public reading, and more. For your convenience, Bible Gateway also allows you to sync your progress across devices.

2. BibleStudyTools.com

Bible Study Tools also features several Bible versions for your perusal, but its true strength lies in a rich library of resources to guide your studies. To help with reading, it has an audio Bible, reading plans, verses of the day, and more. For studying, the site offers bible commentaries, concordances, dictionaries, encyclopedias, historical books and texts, lexicons, sermons, hymns, and classics from theologians.

3. BlueLetterBible.org

Blue Letter Bible is a simple and free searchable online Bible, with over 20 translations available. To help you make the most of the site and its resources, the Quickstart guide has a collection of short videos explaining tools, word searches, customization, and more.

Some of the study tools you’ll find on the site are bible commentaries (in text, audio, and video), charts and outlines, timelines, maps and images, encyclopedias, lexicons, theological articles and books, live streams, and more.

Christians can use these resources to expand their Bible knowledge and experience a closer walk with Jesus.
