The Importance of Keeping Short Accounts With God

Many Christians might think they don’t need to keep short accounts with God. However, the truth is that we all need it. In the Bible, we see a pattern of people coming to God and confessing their sins. This is because God wants us to be honest with Him about the things we have done wrong, so he can help us get rid of them. It’s true that we are already forgiven through justification, but as a Christian, it’s crucial to keep short accounts with God. This means that we should confess our sins regularly to God and ask for forgiveness — even though we’ve already been forgiven. If we do, it makes it easier to follow God’s will in our lives.

Confession

Confessing sin is an act of humility and honesty — it shows God that we know when we have sinned and that our relationship with Him is more important than anything else. This means that if you are doing something wrong but not getting caught, it’s still necessary to confess it because He knows anyway. God knows everything about us, but He doesn’t expect us to remember everything we have done wrong. We can confess our sins and let him know what we did wrong. This way, He can help us fix those issues and ensure they don’t happen again (1 John 1:9).

When we sin, it hurts God because He loves us. However, when we confess our sins to him, He forgives us and helps us change for the better. He can help us grow spiritually through His love and forgiveness. In addition, keeping short accounts with God helps us experience the abundance of life Jesus promised. However, we must agree that we have sinned against Him, receive His forgiveness, and continue cultivating a relationship with God through prayer and meditating on His Word. .
