Sometimes life takes a turn for us and for one reason or another, you may find yourself distancing yourself from your church family. There can be many reasons for this and many resulting emotions, but in the end, the most important thing is to return to your family and friends who are waiting for you at church. Here are a few considerations as you tackle this predicament.
Not going to church isn’t relieving you of your problem. No matter what it is, you can find comfort and guidance by attending church. Sometimes this will occur without you even expecting it. God works in many different ways and He knows exactly what you need and when you need it. Taking the time to spend with your church family can provide unexpected help.
We all battle at times with going to church. Many times, if we push through and go even when we don’t feel like it, we come away refreshed or receive the guidance we so desperately need. Even if that doesn’t happen, we are in a better frame of mind because we have it fixed on God and His Word. This will prompt us to pray and keep Him in the focus of our thoughts.
Sometimes we don’t return to church after a long time because we think that other members will not look too kindly upon us. This simply shouldn’t be the case. No one at church should blame you for not attending and you shouldn’t let those thoughts stop you from going either. Your church family misses you and they will be glad to see you when you come back and worship with them.
