The Stoicess’ Poem: The Key to a Great Job Interview.

An upcoming Job Interview I had before me.
My desire to prepare for, being so key.

The drill at hand was usual for me –
Be on time. Dress well. Be positive.
But what I sought was a method to help me feel free.

I prayed to God, seeking help that I might find,
and suddenly, His words in Isaiah came to mind.

“Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed” were the words of our Lord,
the words gave my heart strength, as they became my battle sword.

A thought then came regarding how I would interact with a known other,
I conducted some research on the interviewer and found his interest to be the same as my own brother.

I quizzed my brother to learn more about this interest,
to gain an understanding, so that I could speak of it, using terms of the simplest.

The interviewer was impressed by my interest in him,
and offered me the job on a surprisingly mere whim.

So, as I left the interview, I realized in my mind,
God had just shown me that knowing as much about the person, as the job, is how to make the position mine.
