Stoicess’ Poem: Potential Over Reality When Dating.

You’re almost the perfect person, you’ve previously, on many occasions, been told,
gorgeous, smart – “Almost” everything anyone would want to take ahold.

You’re just missing that special thing,
that special something to make you zing.

Such words leave you in doubt that you’ll ever find yourself totally,
moving from one suitor to another most doughtily.

But then the Stoicess told you, that you just need to believe in yourself,
willing to push your full potential like no-one else.

For God gave you a spirit, not of fear, but of power and love and self-control,
you just needed to put your mind to the grind and get yourself under control.

And you finally found your way as the dating game you played,
got to know yourself better on a more personal level and began a new escapade.

You realized the whole point of dating is to get to know someone better,
so you changed your mindset to focus on you and became a better pacesetter.

And the more people you dated, you learned what in a partner you needed,
as others looked on you, admiring your new way of advancing so unimpeded.

For they learned from you what moved them personally to tears, to rage, to love,
as you learned more about you from them, while taking both your minds to heights undreamed-of.

So, you now use dating to help you figure out what really matters to you,
as well as finding those less important things to shrug off and not become so blue.

For resilience in getting past those failed relationships you now have conquered,
and those who deeply seek your hand, know to treat you well or you’ll remain unconquered.
